This examination is structured and requires direct clinical skills performance, which can trigger anxiety and affect students’ performance. Methods: This study used a descriptive design with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 49 third-semester students selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-T) questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents were 19 years old and female. All respondents had prior experience with OSCE and most received family support. The anxiety level of students was predominantly in the very severe category (46.9%), followed by severe (38.8%), moderate (12.2%), and a small proportion in the mild category (2.0%). Conclusion: Most undergraduate nursing students at Mulawarman University experience very high levels of anxiety when facing the OSCE. This indicates that OSCE remains a significant source of stress, and appropriate interventions are needed to help students manage their anxiety effectively.
ardianto_rodin rodin Diva Adilia Kirana Copyright (c) 2026 ardianto_rodin rodin, Diva Adilia Kirana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-30 2026-07-30 5 1 13 25 10.58439/ipk.v5i1.507 The Impact of Fraction of Inspired Oxygen on the Development of Retinopathy of Prematurity: An Observational Study in Wonosari General Hospital” https://e-journal.saku.co.id/index.php/IPK/article/view/503
Introduction: Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is an aberrant development of retinal blood vessels in premature infants and is the primary cause of blindness globally. The primary risk factor for ROP is oxygen concentration. Methods:This research was a quantitative survey utilising a cross-sectional methodology, involving 60 participants from Wonosari Regional General Hospital between January and December 2023, and employing a probability sample technique by simple random sampling. The utilised data were secondary data derived from patient medical records. The research tool comprised a questionnaire. The data analysis encompassed univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square statistical test. Results:The study's findings indicated that the oxygen fraction among preterm infants at Wonosari Regional General Hospital in 2023 included 90 respondents (71%); both FiO2 > 40% and FiO2 < 40% led to Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) in 26 respondents. In 2023, the prevalence of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) at Wonosari Regional General Hospital was 30 newborns (50%). A Chi-Square statistical test indicated a significant correlation between oxygen fraction and ROP incidence, yielding a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05).Conclusion The occurrence of retinopathy of prematurity at Wonosari Regional General Hospital in 2023 is correlated with the oxygen fraction.

Keywords : Fraction Oxygen, Retinopathy of Prematurity,

setyo retno wulandari wulan Istichomah Sri Handayani Sri Hayati Firmina Theresia Kora Copyright (c) 2026 setyo retno wulandari wulan, Istichomah, Sri Handayani, Sri Hayati, Firmina Theresia Kora https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-01 2026-07-01 5 1 62 70 10.58439/ipk.v5i1.503 Effectiveness Of Guided Imagery Therapy To Overcome Acute Pain In Post-Operative Patients With Carcinoma Mammae Sinistra: Case Study https://e-journal.saku.co.id/index.php/IPK/article/view/494
Introduction: Breast cancer is a type of malignant disease that poses a threat to all segments of society and is the leading cause of death among women. Breast cancer can be treated through medical intervention via surgical procedures, which may lead to nursing issues such as acute pain. This pain problem can be addressed through pharmacological therapy and supported by non-pharmacological approaches such as guided imagery therapy. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of guided imagery therapy in managing acute pain in post-operative breast cancer patients through a case study approach. Method: Descriptive observational case study design (in-depth case). The subject of this study was a 50-year-old female patient diagnosed with left breast cancer. Guided imagery therapy was administered for 10–15 minutes over three consecutive days, 2 hours after a 30 mg injection of ketorolac. Measurements were taken before and after the intervention, including pain scale, blood pressure, and pulse rate. Results: There was a reduction in pain intensity from severe to mild, accompanied by a decrease in blood pressure and pulse rate following the intervention. Conclusion: The combination of analgesic administration and Guided Imagery therapy is effective in reducing the intensity of acute pain in patients following surgery for left breast cancer. Therefore, this intervention is safe and suitable for use as a nursing intervention in postoperative pain management.

Keywords : Breast Cancer, Acute Pain, Guided Imagery Therapy
fitria Supiansyah Copyright (c) 2026 fitria Supiansyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-30 2026-07-30 5 1 40 50 10.58439/ipk.v5i1.494
