Drug Danger Education as a Preventive Effort to Increase Adolescent Knowledge in Jrahi Village, Gunung Wungkal District, Pati Regency

Abstract

Introduction: Drug abuse among adolescents is a serious threat that can jeopardize the future of the nation. Lack of knowledge regarding health and legal consequences is a driving factor for the high risk of drug exposure at school age. This community service activity aims to increase adolescents' understanding of the dangers of drugs through interactive educational methods. The activity partners are local teenagers who participated in a full evaluation.

Methods: The implementation method included material presentation, group discussions, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. Results: The results showed a significant increase in knowledge; the average score of participants rose from 47.5 in the pre-test to 81.875 in the post-test. The lowest score also increased drastically from 30 to 80, while the highest score reached 95. This indicates that effectively planned education can strengthen the cognitive aspects of adolescents as a preventive measure against substance abuse. Conclusion: In conclusion, this educational program successfully equipped teenagers with a comprehensive understanding to resist drug influence.
